March 26 to 29, 2023 – Manitou Springs, Watrous, Saskatchewan
Day 1 – Consisted of reviewing picture dictionary for proper words sound and spelling for each picture. The Traditional Knowledge Keepers (TKK) worked as a large group, so they stayed in a large group setting. Agnes Whitehead began by educating all participants to the MRO Language Writing System and sound chart.




Day 2 – Review of Saulteaux/English dictionary -Traditional Knowledge Keeper’s (TKK) went into three (3) groups led by a Language Keeper who knew how to read and write Saulteaux. The Saulteaux/English dictionary was divided equally into three (3) sections. One section was given to each group to review Nakawe words for proper word and spelling.



Day 3 – Final Review of Picture Dictionary to make sure all Traditional Knowledge Keeper’s (TKK) were satisfied with the words and spelling for each picture.



Evenings – Consisted of video recording of Traditional Knowledge Keeper’s (TKK) stories and audio recording of Traditional Knowledge Keeper’s (TKK) words. Also video recording of Traditional Knowledge Keepers (TKK) saying Nakawe words in the Picture Dictionary.
